Weekly update 2 November 2026

Welcome to our weekly update report. We want to keep you informed of our work and answer your questions. We'll include lodgement queue processing times and volumes.
Notification of outages
MPI would like to notify you of two upcoming full outages of cargo clearance processing for scheduled maintenance.
These outages will take place on Sunday 8 and Sunday 15 November between 9am and midday.
During this time there will be no BACC or ICR processing completed from MPI and no MPI responses from TSW. TSW will still be functioning as normal however transmission to and from MPI will be halted during the outage.
Sea freight queue
For this week, sea freight lodgement turnaround is estimated at 3 days.
On Monday 2 November, morning, the total sea freight queue stood at 503 and TET were processing lodgements due Tuesday at 12:07pm.
Last week: average turnaround of sea freight lodgement for first submissions was 16:11hrs (previous week 17:43 hrs) and for second submissions 1:05hrs (previous week 3:04hrs).
Airfreight queue
For the coming week, air freight lodgement turnaround is estimated 3 hours.
On Monday 2 November, morning, there were 7 airfreight lodgement in the queue and TET were processing lodgements due Monday at 10:00am.
Last week: average turnaround of air freight lodgement for first submissions was 0:29hrs (previous week 1:45hrs) and for second submissions 0:26hrs (previous week 1:40hrs)
Australia queue
On Monday 2 November, morning, there were 78 Australian specific lodgements in the queue and TET were processing lodgements due Monday at 10am.
Last week:
Average turnaround of air freight lodgement for first submissions was 0:28hrs (previous week 1:48hrs) and for second submissions 0:30hrs (previous week 1:48hrs).
Average turnaround of sea freight lodgement for first submissions was 13:25hrs (previous week 15:39hrs) and for second submissions was 0:45hrs (previous week 2:21hrs).
