TE VAKA O RU PRESENTATION

Cook Islands Tourism held Round 16 of Te Vaka O Ru presentations in Aitutaki on Tuesday 8th February. Village Taskforce members were awarded for their efforts in their respective villages. Funds will assist them in purchasing resources to support them in ensuring they are equipped with safety gear and continue the work they do for their villages. A highlight of the presentation included Raui Manapori, who was given a special award in recognition of his dedication to keeping his village clean and being a great Mana Tiaki ambassador.

The programme began in 2016, focuses on the development of our People, Tupuranga Tangata, similar to the Vaka Pride programme on Rarotonga .
