More Lap Swimming, No Appointments & Other Updates!

 

Dear Valued Customer,

CORRECTION: In previous email, we forgot to include Water Exercise on Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:00pm.

Effective Monday, November 29, the Mount Rainier Pool will be adding morning and evening hours, and no longer require appointments.

PUBLIC SWIM SCHEDULE: All swims will be open during the times below. To see the exact swim times, view schedule at bottom of email. (Note-Schedule does not include swim team usage times, contact your team for more detailed information.)

  • Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 9:30am-1:00pm and 6:00-7:00pm
  • Tuesday/Thursday, 10:30am-1:00pm & 6:00-8:00pm
  • Saturday, 11:00am-3:00pm
  • Sunday, 11:00am-1:00pm

UPDATED SCHEDULE: See schedule (effective Monday, November 29) at bottom of email. 

NO APPOINTMENTS: No appointments are required! All usage is first-come, first-served.

MASKS & SOCIAL DISTANCING: Masks are still required for all facility users outside of the pool. Chairs will be left on the side of the pool for patrons to keep their masks, while they are in the water. It is important all patrons keep six feet of social distance including while in the water (without their mask on) and outside the water. (See section below for more information.)

CHILDREN UNDER 12: Children under 12 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult. Everyone 12 years and older will need to meet the vaccination verification requirements above.

SPECTATORS: Parents and families of people using the pool are able to spectate (as long as they follow King County Vaccine Verification - see requirements below).

SHOWERS & LOCKERS: Showers will be reopened for before and after pool usage.

VACCINE VERIFICATION

The District will remind patrons of the vaccine requirement when a reservation is being made. A check-in station will be setup at the entry. Patrons that do not show proper verification will be turned away. Acceptable forms of vaccination are: 

  • CDC vaccination card or photo of vaccine card.
  • Documented proof of vaccination from medical record or vaccine provider.
  • Printed certificate or QR code (available at the end of September) from MyIRMobile.com.

THANKSGIVING HOURS

We will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 in observance of Thanksgiving. The pool will be open regular hours on all other days.

Swim Lessons: There are no swim lessons scheduled for Saturday, November 27.

*Swim Lesson Practice Card Time is dedicated to children and their parents who are currently enrolled in swim lessons to come in and practice their skills between lessons.Note-Other afternoon and evening times are being utilized by swim teams.

MEMBERSHIP NEWS

Just a heads up that the following changes are being made to memberships.

Renew Active by United Healthcare is now accepted for all swims, water walking and water exercise.

2022 Rates: We will be consolidating the open/family swim and lap swim rates into one rate, eliminate auto-billing plans and other changes. Click here to view new rate plans.* Rates will take affect January 1, 2022.

*All plans purchased on or before December 31, 2021 will be honored including auto-billing.
