A Word on the War in the Ukraine: As many US companies begin to disengage from Russian entities – we should look to support Ukrainian tech companies. We know it pales to the support that Ukraine will need in the coming weeks and months – but we should all feel an obligation for the burgeoning technology cluster in Ukraine. Tech San Diego, unsolicited by the company, would like to highlight a Ukrainian company Grammarly. Sara Spiva, Tech San Diego Communications Director, suggested Grammarly as she is already using it in her daily work! For those of you that have ever been caught sending out a quick email and having a peer ask you why you were so abrupt or not clear, Grammarly helps you communicate more efficiently while conveying your intentions correctly. Although Grammarly remains a Ukrainian-founded company, they have a significant presence and offices in the U.S. You can download their free version on their front page! Grammarly also has an excellent page on suggested ways to help Ukraine, although we are not in a position to directly vet these links – coming from a Ukraine-based company we trust they have a better understanding of impactful charitable links than we would be able to curate. You can find those links by clicking the button below. Slava Ukraine! |
