The Migration Pathway Workshop The event on March 27th was organized by the Employment and Training team, focusing on Skilled and Employment Visas, Family Visas, and English readiness. Key speakers included Ben Naday, a migration agent, and Rachel Sanders, an expert in IELTS/PTE. Approximately 50 attendees obtained valuable insights for their migration plans. Missed the workshop? MCCGC hosted an International Women's Day event on March 12th at their Southport office kitchen. Jessy, Aruna, Camila, and Kyzzy from the Employment and Training team had a special lunch together. The gathering let them connect, celebrate achievements, and enjoy camaraderie with beautifully decorated cookies. St Patricks day lunch
On March 17th, Jessy hosted a St. Patrick's Day lunch with Irish and British snacks. Carly, our Irish team member on maternity leave, brought her cute newborns, making it the day's highlight.
Youth Matters Fest
On March 26th, Jessy and Ellie attended the Youth Matters Fest to promote our services and connect with organizations, raising awareness and fostering community connections.
Latino Women’s Awards
On March 31st, Kyzzy and Maria Camila from our Employment and Training Team, along with Laura, Wellbeing and Connection Team Leader, attended the Latino Women's Awards, organized by Events by Vivi. Kyzzy and Maria Camila were honored with an award for their incredible work within the community. English Classes
In April, our English classes have focused on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills, and speaking/listening abilities. Regular assessments and feedback guide progress and celebrate achievements.
