Term 3 Fitness Program Planning of the next Active Parramatta Fitness Program is underway! Next term will feature a variety of onsite and online activities for residents, workers and visitors of Parramatta to enjoy. Kleins Road CorridorCouncil is committed to delivering safe, active and enjoyable ways of getting around, including cycling and walking paths that connect schools and local shops! An exciting example is the Kleins Road Corridor. The project aims to deliver a much needed, scenic alternative to and from the northern suburbs of the City. The latest schedule will be released soon! Squad Program at PACSquads at Parramatta Aquatic Centre (PAC) have officially launched. This provides a great way for swimmers to continue to advance and achieve their full potential in the pool. Running all year, this program helps swimmers to refine their skills whilst most importantly, having fun. Active Parramatta VanIt’s not too late to join one or more of the Van’s free Term 2 health and fitness activities. With online and face to face options and a variety of classes to choose from, there is something for everyone. The Van has also teamed up with Reclink Australia to bring free Walking Basketball to Telopea on Wednesday mornings. Walking Basketball is a low impact, social and fun way to stay active. National Tree Day On Sunday, 28 July help plant 10,000 seedlings into the bushland reserve along Dorahy Street in Dundas, and continue our multiyear rehabilitation and revegetation project. This family-friendly event will include a wildlife display, sausage sizzle and free plant giveaways. Burramatta NAIDOC Celebrate the vibrant culture and history of First Nations communities on Saturday, 13 July at Parramatta Park from 10am - 4pm.
