Will you be joining us for one of South East Queensland’s largest environment and sustainability festivals at Griffith University Logan Campus? Get ready to dive into a day of eco-inspiration as LEAF takes flight with this year’s theme, Wings along our Waterways, featuring engaging talks, hands-on workshops and activities, vibrant market stalls, a creative kids’ zone and so much more.

Here are four big reasons to come along on Sunday 7 June:
👉 Jamie Durie OAM - Award-winning international designer, author and TV presenter
👉 Dr Ann Jones - Host of the What the Duck?! podcast
👉 Andrew Dinwoodie - Coordinator of Birdlife Australia's Powerful Owl Project

FEATURED NEWS

Sparrow’s return to the wild

Earlier this year, a sick koala was spotted in Cornubia Forest Park. After days of searching, wildlife rescue volunteers safely rescued Sparrow and took her for treatment.

Vets treated her for chlamydia and discovered something special - a tiny joey in her pouch. She made a strong recovery and was released back into the wild with her joey.

Wild Koala Day, celebrated on 3 May, highlights local koalas and their habitat, and encourages community action to protect them.
