Lake Hugh Muntz

The Lake Hugh Muntz Community Information Sessions were completed in November.

At these sessions, the City illustrated the good news from the

  • Discussed the Draft Lake Hugh Muntz Management Plan

Safe and legal parking tip

No parking on a yellow line.

A yellow line painted adjacent to the kerb has
the same meaning as a No Stopping sign and
motorists may not stop or park along that

Mermaid Beach SLSC Club of the Year

Mermaid Beach Surf Life Saving Club has made history, after claiming the title of Queensland's "Best Surf Club" for 2022.

The newly crowned "Club of the Year" has become the first to take the top spot twice, after winning it back in 2015.

Christmas Tree Lighting

This year Division 12 has placed coloured lights on the tree at the Burleigh Waters Library located on the corner of Galeen Drive and Christine Avenue at Burleigh Waters. 

The tree is appromimately 21m high and has a radius of 5m, with a side length of 22m.

Make sure you drive by and have a look at this beautiful tree that has been activated for the Christmas period.

Local organisations are encouraged to apply for the 2023 Seniors Month Grants Program opening on 1 January 2023.

Applications will close 31 January 2023.
