Returning to campus Covid-19 update – Wednesday 20 AprilReturning to Campus Dear students, We hope you are enjoying your well-deserved break. We look forward to seeing you all back on campus in the coming week. Remember all classes will take place on campus in Study Block 2. Classes begin on Tuesday 26 April, as Monday is Anzac Day. Orientation for new students in New Zealand will take place on campus this Friday 22 April. Our online Orientation for overseas students will take place tomorrow. You can find the Orientation schedule here. Today we’d like to share some important information about your return to campus. New Zealand is now at the Orange level of the Covid Protection Framework (traffic light system). At Orange, you can continue to do everyday activities, but we need to protect our vulnerable communities. Vaccination The Government no longer requires the use of the My Vaccine Pass at tertiary education facilities. You will not need to show your pass when you come to the campus. Face masks Although masks are not specifically mandated in tertiary education settings, face masks help reduce the spread of Covid-19 and the Government recommends wearing them in all indoor settings. What to do if you’re sick Anyone who is required to self-isolate should stay home. Please contact your lecturer and Student Success (studentsuccessaic@op.ac.nz) if you are required to self-isolate to let them know. Keeping safe on campus Please continue to follow public health guidelines to protect yourself, your whānau, and your community:
We look forward to seeing you all soon. Kind regards, OPAIC Communications. |
