Message From Your Chancellor's Associates Chair
This has been an extraordinary academic year for Chancellor’s Associates and our scholars. With commencement just a couple weeks away, I am so proud of all of our graduating seniors and the unprecedented hurdles they have overcome. They will be receiving their UC San Diego degree and taking the next step in their journey, all because of your support along the way. I am excited to see what amazing contributions they will be making in service to our community in the future.
This month, our June Chancellor’s Associates Colloquium, will be our last event until the fall, when we hope to return to in-person activities. I look forward to connecting you with our new Chancellor’s Associates Scholars later this year, but until then have a safe and relaxing summer!

Commencement 2021
We are proud to share that this year UC San Diego graduates have the opportunity to attend in-person ceremonies, with no more than two guests. Don’t miss your chance to celebrate virtually with our graduating seniors by joining the commencement livestreams. The ceremonies will include a keynote address from UC San Diego alumna, principal at Black Futures Lab and co-founder of the Black Lives Matter Global Network, Alicia Garza ’02, as well as the recognition of individual graduates, an address by Chancellor Pradeep K. China's Civilian Army: The Making of Wolf Warrior Diplomacy

Moderated by Susan Shirk, chair of the 21st Century China Center, this talk with Peter Martin of Bloomberg will cover his new book which charts China's transformation from an isolated and impoverished communist state to a global superpower from the perspective of those on the front line: China's diplomats. They give a rare perspective on the greatest geopolitical drama of the last half century.
