Since the start of this year, 4 385 officials have joined the DDD Learning Hub, logging in 12 748 times and completing 964 training lessons. A total of 10 635 users attended online webinars or in-person training. Gauteng tops the list with 1 187 officials attending live training events, followed by Northern Cape, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. |

Chris Hani West and OR Tambo Inland districts were abuzz in term 2, with Further Education and Training (FET) principal workshops and sessions for curriculum management committees. Other highlights included target-setting sessions and subject advisor training, attended by a total of 360 education officials throughout the course of the term. |

General Education and Training (GET) subject specialists got a new perspective on using the DDD School Achievement and Learner Chart Reports, in Thabo Mofutsanyane Education District. Another eye opener for officials was a targeted review of school/subject improvement plans in Lejweleputswa District, to support underperforming schools. |

Gauteng’s teams were on fire this term, with multiple Champion Principals training sessions and performance analysis workshops for FET subject advisors and district management teams. Intervention support workshops gave insight into how Schools of Specialisation can use the Subject Achievement and Learner Chart Reports to support learners. |

It was full-speed ahead for district officials across KwaZulu-Natal, as DDD and information and communication technology champions were trained to capacitate other principals in curriculum management committees. Another highlight was refresher training for circuit managers, organised by the Programme to Improve Learning Outcomes (PILO). |

The term kicked off with Grade 12 performance analysis and learner performance accountability sessions, followed by School Management Team training to equip educators to act on these insights. A special motivation session at Sefoloko Secondary School (above) was arranged with Narrow Path Finders Youth Organisation and the University of Limpopo. |

Using DDD to do learner profiling was the name of the game for secondary school principals in Mpumalanga this term. Other efforts included dashboard training for provincial curriculum officials, as well as Mathematics, Science and Technology (MST) deputy chief education specialists. The team also approved the roll-out of a new intervention planning initiative. |

At the top of everyone’s list this term was the roll-out of the 2024 intervention strategy, starting with term 1 performance analysis and training on how to use DDD across all Northern Cape districts to support this. The team also celebrated the opening of a new Learners with Special Education Needs (LSEN) school in Pixley-ka-Seme District. |

The term kicked off with DDD master training for FET and GET subject specialists, conducted by the District Teacher Development Centre. Champion Principals training was well received in Bonesang and Boitshoko districts, while Bojanala District’s school systems support administrators trained subject specialists on how to get more value from the dashboard. |
