Family with winner of Sid the Sloth Membership Competition at Casey Cardinia Libraries

New members go into the draw to WIN!

There is lots happening in March at your local library and we can't wait to see you.

The Sid the Sloth Kids Membership Competition was such a great success in 2022 that we are extending it! The competition is open to new members who visit the library at least three times between March and May to go into the draw to win a $300 Toymate Voucher. There are also monthly prizes to be won! Drop into your library or go here to find out more.

There are some great authors coming to Bunjil Place Library this May. Fiona and Ilsa Evans will chat about their latest novels "The Money Club" and "Family Baggage", whilst Jonathan Butler will tell us about his debut book, combining true crime, memoir, family history, and queer history. It's a great lineup of talent, so don't miss out!

We're proud to once again be an official collection point for the Share the Dignity drive during the month of March, in aid of those experiencing period poverty. Just look for the pink collection boxes at your local library to donate items.

We now have free COVID-19 RAT kits for Casey residents available at all of our libraries, so pick up a kit if you are running low.

See you at the library!

Author Jonathan Butler

In Conversation With Jonathan Butler

Jonathan Butler combines true crime, memoir, family history, and queer history in his debut book The Boy in the Dress, nominated for The Age Book of the Year 2022.

The book documents the story of Warwick, intertwined with the story of Butler himself, and also sheds fresh light on Australia’s queer and military history.

Butler will share insight into the story and the archival research he conducted for the book, in conversation with local history librarian Kate Davis.

This event is presented in celebration of IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia).
