12 months to a meet your goals for 2016

Most New Year resolutions fail because the goal is too big and there is no plan to achieve it. Breaking your goals down to small steps each month increases your chance of success.

JANUARY GOAL SETTING: One of the most important skills taught to athletes in order to help them achieve optimal performance is goal setting. The goal-setting process helps athletes understand where they are currently and also where they want to go. Use the SMART principle. Set aside some time to think about what you want to achieve. Then, set goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, and realistic and they have a specific time frame

NOW AVAILABLE CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Dr. Allison Gross B.Sc, D.C.
I have been in private practice for 18 years here in Calgary and am excited to be joining a great team of practitioners at the Running Injury Clinic. It will be a great fit for me as I enjoy a collaborative approach to patient care, and use multiple approaches to patient care in my own practice. While improving spinal mobility and function is my primary focus,  I also use many different muscle therapy techniques such as Graston Soft Tissue mobilization, Active Release and Trigger point release to alleviate tightness and adhesion's in muscles.
Compliance with treatment plans is especially important to me as I expect my patients to follow the exercises and self management strategies I prescribe for them. I take pride in the fact that I do not run a high volume practice and take time with each patient. I can often be heard discussing the importance of posture with patients and reminding them about proper posture techniques and exercises.
