Dear Eagles,

Welcome back to the Heights! I hope you all had a restful break and you feel energized and ready for Spring Semester!

There are already some exciting events and programs planned. Some of my highlights include, the Student Involvement Fair on January 27,  Careers in Arts & Entertainment Week, the Women's Summit on February 4, and the Center for Student Wellness is launching a campaign around Mental Health Awareness. There is also a full calendar of events in the works for Black History Month, and Leadership Day is right around the corner. Of course, Mile 21 will be here before you know it, so stay tuned for announcements later this semester!

Be sure to also check out some of our campus partner highlights including the McMullen Museum's new exhibit. If you have not already done so, I encourage you to sign up for LinkedIn Learning, as mentioned, this is a free service and great way to learn new skills at your own pace.

Finally, a shout out to our Women's Basketball team! Show your support and cheer them on as they play Clemson on Sunday, January 22 at 1:00 p.m. See details below.

As always, if you would like to discuss something with me, please feel free to stop by during my open office hours most Friday's from 3-5 p.m., or schedule a time with me by contacting my office.

I look forward to seeing you around campus!

Sincerely,

Dr. Shawna Cooper Whitehead
