ACMT Psychedelics Seminar

The ACMT Research Committee welcomes all types of original research of interest to medical toxicologists and their patients. Our goal is to enrich the attendee experience by offering presentations that share the latest science and clinical practices from the front lines of medical toxicology.
Position Statement: Medical Toxicology Considerations in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Patients with Concerns About Mold-Related Inhalation Exposures
ACMT has issued updated guidance on mold exposure, clarifying health risks, dispelling mycotoxin myths, and warning against unproven tests and treatments.
Alnylam Physician Fellowship
Application Deadline: Friday, September 29
The MTF is very pleased to continue its partnership with Alnylam Pharmaceuticals on this exciting and unique opportunity! Alnylam is offering a one-year paid Global Patient Safety and Risk Management (GPSRM) Physician Fellowship for medical toxicologists including fellows graduating in 2026, recent grads and those who may already be mid-career. There are up to two spots available, and the fellowship begins July 2026.
This fellowship is onsite in Cambridge, MA, and provides an opportunity for medical toxicologists to gain the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to pursue a career in the competitive biopharmaceutical industry, enabling them to become successful leaders and innovators in various areas of drug development.

Accepting Applications for February 2026 Rotation
Application Deadline: Monday, November 24
This great partnership with Bayer provides an introduction to the possibility of a career in industry and provides fellows with an understanding of product development from the R&D pipeline, through the regulatory process, to launch and post-market stewardship. Over the four-week rotation, participants gain valuable experience and insights about the role of industry and the regulatory oversight of bringing important technology from the academic arena to the public sphere.

In partnership with Bayer as part of the Medical Toxicology in Industry Rotation Program, we are pleased to feature Dr. Sandra James-Yi presenting "One Health: People, Animals and the Environment, Indivisible." This session will explore the critical role veterinarians play in safeguarding public health and food safety through veterinary toxicology, emphasizing the identification and impact of toxicants that threaten animals, humans, and the environment. Registration is open to all.

ASM Abstract Review Mentorship Program
Deadline: Friday, October 10
This yearly mentorship program is designed to mentor medical students, fellows, and junior faculty through the abstract review process. Participants will be paired with a faculty mentor from another institution and learn how abstracts are scored and selected for presentation at ACMT’s Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) by reviewing five submitted abstracts.
Residents and Students: Apply for Travel Awards to Attend #ACMT2026
Application Deadline: Monday, October 13
The MTF is excited to again offer multiple travel award opportunities for medical trainees to attend the 2026 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting & Symposia in Boston next March! Up to 12 awardees will join us to learn about current advancements in medical toxicology and explore the pathway toward fellowship training. Please check out the many travel awards available.
ANTIDOTE Institute Accepting Applications
Application Deadline: Monday, November 3
The NIH-funded ANTIDOTE Institute is now accepting applications for the 2026 cycle for its Full and Fellows Programs!
The full program is a two-year program offering one-on-one mentorship opportunities for early-career investigators (junior faculty, with some exceptions) to develop a research program, providing up to $25,000 in project seed funding.
This year we are pleased to announce the new ANTIDOTE FIT Program! This one-year program is a "micro-dose" ANTIDOTE experience for fellows-in-training designed to provide early exposure to core concepts in toxicology research, professional development, and academic career pathways— without the requirements of an independent research project.
The MTF Accepting Nominations for Dr. Charles E. Becker Medal

Attention Fellowship Directors, the MTF is now accepting nominations for the Dr. Charles E. Becker Medal for Outstanding Achievement as a Medical Toxicology Fellow! This award celebrates Dr. Becker’s impact and legacy by recognizing an exceptional fellow who has the desire to make a significant contribution to advance medical toxicology, and who also embodies Dr. Becker’s humanitarian spirit. The medal will be awarded at the 2026 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting & Symposia in Boston.
