Workstream UpdatesSimulation and Immersive Technologies Promoting national resources to regional nursing teams and universitiesOver the summer, the team have delivered a series of webinars, highlighting and demonstrating the national TEL resources available to both nurse educators and learners from a variety of Higher Education Institutions. The team presented to over 175 attendees from almost 65 universities, which represents over 75% of all HEIs offering nursing courses in England, they also talked to 3 NHS Trusts and 2 ICBs. Initial feedback showed that most of the attendees were likely or very likely to use the resources demonstrated and that they were interested to find out more about the products and their potential to include in both nursing curricula and to support both educator development and ongoing CPD. We received some really positive comments from attendees; “Some great work going on at NHSE”; “this was really inspiring and informative” and “this has been revelatory”. For any nurse educators who were unable to attend a session, but would like to find out more, there will be an additional open session on 11 September at midday. To register your interest, please email england.simimmtech@nhs.net Becoming Simulation Faculty: Second advanced topic launchedThe second advanced topic in the Becoming Simulation Faculty programme, Evaluation in simulation-based practice, has been launched, with further topics planned for release over the autumn. Platform Updates![]() Platforms for education, skills and developmentThe TEL team continues to deliver live services to over 1 million colleagues in health and social care roles. This includes maintaining access to content through our 3 digital learning platforms and providing AICC and ESR links on relevant content. The team are working hard on developing the Learning Hub and incorporating the functionality of a Learning Management System. This will enable remaining content from the elearning for healthcare (elfh) Hub to be available in the Learning Hub, including Statutory and Mandatory training. In the future, the Learning Hub will be the single platform offer for learners, enhancing the user experience. Digital Learning SolutionsThe Competency Framework Service on Digital Learning Solutions (DLS) is being used across the UK and in line with the 10 Year Plan, the Competency Framework Service is being developed to support Skills Escalators. Following feedback from framework owners and platform users, TEL are revising the support offering available to those using the competency frameworks service on DLS. The updated model is aligned for both new and existing frameworks, to ensure that everyone can access training. This will include new quarterly training sessions delivered by the TEL team and split by role.
