Click here Dear Triton Parents and Families, Spring quarter is right around the corner, and your students will likely have a lot on their minds as they embark on the final term of the year — or, for many, the final term of their UC San Diego experience. If your student is graduating this spring, be sure to visit our commencement website for information about schedules, parking, accommodations and more. The site also has helpful information for students about College Commencement ceremonies, regalia and opportunities to speak or perform at All Campus Commencement. For those whose students will be continuing their UC San Diego journey, now is a great time to touch base with them about their plans for the summer. If your student is looking for an internship, encourage them to check out our upcoming Career and Networking Fairs. If they're looking to get ahead or catch up on classes, Summer Session is a great option. Wherever your student is in their journey, Parent and Family Programs is here to support you as you support them. Our newly updated Parent and Family Programs website is full of helpful information just for you, including a guide to understanding your student's academic journey, helpful monthly tips and important dates, and useful campus contacts. We hope you'll make the most of it, and that you'll let us know if there are any other helpful resources we can provide. Best, Margot Clifford Our Triton Family Web Series is in full swing, covering a range of topics supporting your student's success. This season, we've covered preparing for health professions in Paging Future Doctors, the resources available through the Writing Hub in Academic Writing: Connect Your Student to Tools for Success, and the ins and outs of on- and off-campus housing in Home Away from Home: Navigating Student Housing for Next Year. Our most recent session, Mapping The Future: Your Student's Career Readiness Passport, covered the new Career Readiness Passport program at UC San Diego and how it equips students with essential skills and experiences for success beyond graduation. Check out the recording to learn about how the Career Readiness Passport fosters student empowerment, enhances employability, and prepares graduates for fulfilling careers and meaningful lives. Planning for Move-Out 2024 As the end of the academic year approaches, we want to remind you of the importance of timely move-out for your student living on campus. While housing contracts officially end on June 15, 2024, we encourage students to plan on moving out after their last final exam. The earlier they can move out, the better — especially with commencement events looming. Early move-out means less traffic and parking congestion for your student to navigate
during this busy time on campus. Stay updated on move-out procedures by bookmarking our move-out information page. Deep Dive: Black Resource CenterStudents and families are invited to visit the Black Resource Center (BRC) located at the Original Student Center!
