Weekly Update 1 November 2021

Welcome to our new weekly update report. We want to keep you informed of our work and answer your questions. We'll include lodgement queue processing times and volumes.
This week
Sea freight queue
For this week, sea freight lodgement turnaround is estimated at 3 - 6 days.
On Monday, 1 November, morning, the total sea freight queue (includes Australian lodgements) stood at 1,350 lodgements and TET were processing lodgements due back Friday, 29 October 2021 at 8am
Last week: average turnaround of sea freight lodgement for first submissions was 32:21 hrs (previous week 29:12 hrs) and for second submissions 13:10 hrs (previous week 14:17 hrs)
Airfreight queue
For the coming week, air freight lodgement turnaround is estimated 3 - 10 hours
On Monday, 1 November, morning, there were 518 airfreight lodgements in the queue for processing and TET were processing those due back today at 7.30am
Last week: average turnaround of air freight lodgement for first submissions was 10:37 hrs (previous week 10:03 hrs) and for second submissions 11:15 hrs (previous week 11:39 hrs)
Australia queue
On Monday, 1 November, morning, there were 234 Australian specific lodgements, the team is processing consignments due back today at Friday, 29 October at 9.50 am
Last week:
Average turnaround of air freight lodgement for first submissions was 9:58 hrs (previous week (8:22 hrs) and for second submissions 8:03 hrs (previous week 9:39 hrs).
Average turnaround of sea freight lodgement for first submissions was 22:52 hrs (previous week 26:17 hrs) and for second submissions 11:07 hrs (previous week 13:34 hrs)
Pressure point:
Volumes are on the increase, particularly in air freight. Some good news is that we have a number of new staff training in Target Evaluation. You may notice some consignments processed outside of the typical order due to trainees selecting consignments that are within their current processing abilities.
