Weekly Update 27 April 2021

Welcome to our new weekly update report for the BMSB season. We want to keep you informed of our work and answer your questions. We'll include lodgement queue processing times and volumes.

This week

Sea freight queue

For this week, sea freight lodgement turnaround is estimated at 3 - 6 days.

On Tuesday 27 April, morning, the total sea freight queue (includes Australian lodgements) stood at 1,045 lodgements and TET were processing lodgements due back today at 11:00am

Last week:  average turnaround of sea freight lodgement for first submissions was 24:30 hrs (previous week 25:22hrs) and for second submissions 6:37 hrs (previous week 8:30 hrs)

Airfreight queue

For the coming week, air freight lodgement turnaround is estimated 3 - 7 hours

On Tuesday 27 April, morning, there were 5 airfreight lodgements in the queue for processing and TET were processing those due back at 10:00am

 Last week:  average turnaround of air freight lodgement for first submissions was 6:01hrs (previous week 6:59 hrs) and for second submissions 5:34 hrs (previous week 6:35 hrs)

Australia queue

On Tuesday 27 April, morning, there were 116 Australian specific lodgements, the team is processing consignments due back today at 10am

Last week:

Average turnaround of air freight lodgement for first submissions was 6:17 hrs (previous week 6:30 hrs) and for second submissions 6:00 hrs (previous week 6:11 hrs).

Average turnaround of sea freight lodgement for first submissions was 21:42 hrs (previous week 22:44 hrs) and for second submissions 5:26 hrs (previous week 7:57 hrs)

Pressure point:

• Large volumes of air freight applications.
