JOTTINGS OF
A PERSONAL JEWELLER

NOVEMBER 2024 NEWSLETTER

Hello!

And welcome to my November newsletter. Another busy month, like many I’m not quite sure where time is going, but fortunately I continue to be inundated with all sorts of work and commissions.

As I mentioned in my last newsletter, my new catalogue is coming together nicely and over the last month, I have decided that it will be an online version. It’s the way of the world now to send things this way and obviously helps keep costs down which in turn keeps my prices keen too! So, watch this space for “the 2025 Catalogue” popping into your mailbox as everything should be ready towards the end of this month.

This year I have some wonderful lifestyle shots of my jewels being worn, which as jewellery is such a personal adornment, gives one a much better idea as to how they look when worn rather than leaving it to the imagination.

In the media

Since my last newsletter I have been interviewed by Trevor Chappell again. This time amongst the interesting questions asked by listeners, we talked about repairs which is a huge part of my business. For once I can tell you that if you want to hear me “live” I will be on ABC Radio 774 this Wednesday (6th November) at around 2.40pm.

Jewel of the month

Keshi South Sea pearl earrings mounted in 18ct gold

Throughout the year I am always buying pieces that I love and that are unusual. I tend to save them up for the catalogue as it gives me real pleasure to show them and for them to be part of my collection. A “Lady of Property”, when I happened to show her these earrings snapped them up as she recognised not only how good they looked on her but also they are rare and were great value. Being tall and elegant they do look amazing on her.

They were designed by the Sydney Jeweller Tony White probably in the 90’s and feature large Keshi South Sea pearls mounted in handmade 18ct gold clip-on settings. So rather than waste the image I thought they were something for you all to see too. Remember if there is something specific you would like to acquire, I am always working away in the background and happy to search on your behalf, jewellery after all is my passion no matter how big or small the inquiry.

Hoping that you all pick a winner on Tuesday!

Warmly,
Adrian
