Uniting Church WA Moderator, Rev Dr Ian Tozer has shared a pastoral message and prayer for the Uniting Church WA community following the outcome of the Referendum on the Voice.

Statement on the Referendum Result
The Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) and the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC) have released a statement acknowledging the deep disappointment for many at the referendum result, especially for First Nations people who supported a Voice.
"I encourage Uniting Church members, and all Australians, in our conversations and our actions, let’s do whatever we can to show support and care for First Nations people right now.” said Uniting Church in Australia President Rev Sharon Hollis.
Global Prayer Day
The World Council of Churches (WCC) will join a Day of Prayer and Fasting on 17 October, which will be hosted by the Patriarchs and Heads of the Churches in Jerusalem.
The WCC invites all member churches, and people of goodwill, to unite in prayers for peace, for aid to those suffering, and for those who have lost loved ones.

Trek 4 Timor - 5 NovemberWalk to save a life by registering for Trek for Timor on Sunday 5 November at 1.00pm raising money for the Mobile Health Clinic in East Timor. The walk begins and ends at Mount Pleasant Uniting Church. |

- World Council of Churches calls for immediate ceasefire and urgent humanitarian aid for Gaza.
- Act for Peace Gaza Emergency Appeal - Help provide urgent medical assistance to civilians in Gaza
- Anniversary of the Apology to survivors of institutional child sexual abuse - A statement and a Liturgy of Acknowledgement and Lament from the Uniting Church in Australia. 22 October marks the fifth anniversary of the National Apology.
- A Family Movie Night is happening at Maylands/Mt Lawley Uniting Church on Friday, 20 October from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. The movie ‘Sing 2’ will be on the screen, with pizza and popcorn provided. This is an all ages event and entry is free, with donations welcome.
- Northway Uniting Church, Caring Hands are hosting a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research on Friday 27 October 10.00am at 9 Pacific Way, Beldon. Tickets for the morning tea are $5 plus there will be a raffle.
