Supporting HR in a MoG and the year leading up to an election

Register now for the first HR ComPrac event for 2022, where we provide HR practitioners with practical support and advice to successfully navigate MoG changes and the lead up to an election.

We have an exciting line up of speakers sharing valuable insights and resources to help you succeed in this time of rapid change.

Katherine Frank, Director from DPC Legal will share what is it like to support a 3rd term government in the year before an election, including caretaker conventions and relevant legislative requirements. 

Erica Machon & Michelle Paphitis, Directors, DCS People & Culture will share a DCS case study on preparing for and delivering Machinery of Government changes, along with their current framework, templates and principles.

Wilson Lee, Senior Advisor from DPC People, Culture & Talent will share his perspective on the sensitivities and issues during a MoG, how these impact HR service delivery and his helpful tips to maximise success.

We recognise that it is going to be a difficult 12 months for the public sector, and we need HR to support people to do that work. We hope you can join us.

International Women’s Day 2022:
An Environment of Empowerment Event

All NSW public sector employees are invited to a virtual event to hear female senior leaders discuss what it takes to create environments of empowerment this International Women’s Day.

Gender equity in the workplace is a priority for the NSW public sector. Each of us has a role to play in making our workplaces safe and supportive of women.

Speakers will discuss their diverse pathways to senior leadership and their goals for the future of gender equity in NSW. They will identify the changes they would like to see in dismantling the structural barriers to women being able to fully participate in all decision-making roles.

Female members of the NSW Secretaries Board will join in a panel discussion with event MC, journalist and broadcaster Tracey Spicer.

The event is hosted by the NSW Public Service Commission and will be held online on Tuesday 8 March from 9.30am – 10.30am.

NSW PSC Belonging and Inclusion Strategy

Inclusive for all. A world class public sector, where everyone belongs

NSW Public Service Commissioner, Kathrina Lo, launched the Belonging and Inclusion Strategy on 22 Febraury 2022. A panel discussion was also hosted at the launch event, that included the following speakers:

- Lisa Annese, CEO, Diversity Council Australia
- Rhonda Brighton Hall, CEO, mwah
- Samara Dobbins, Deputy Secretary, NSW Department of Premier & Cabinet
- Jody Grima, CPO, NSW Department of Customer Service
- Aly Howard, Co-chair, LGBTQIA+ Advisory Committee to Secretaries Board

Topics included foundations for success and emerging priorities in building a culture of belonging.
