Australian Screen News September 2022: First Nations Spotlight on TIFF award recipient Jub Clerc, Screen Queensland's BTS with George & Julia

We've been enjoying our first conversations with the spring flowers this month, the evenings are warming up and the days are getting longer. Production is lively as always, which means we have a wonderful September issue to accompany your coffee.

Speaking of warmer weather, pack your sunnies and Akubra, we're off on a road trip along Victoria's gorgeous Great Ocean Road for our Location Spotlight. Our First Nations Spotlight is shining on the talented Western Australian Writer/Director, Jub Clerc.

We open the door to two new Ausfilm members, Boom Tracks, our sound post-production specialists; and for digital scanning and more, we are pleased to introduce you to Myriad Studios.

We've been graced with some incredible VFX breakdowns from MPC on Ron Howard's Thirteen Lives and Rising Sun Pictures' epic sequences in season 3 of The Boys.
Screen Queensland provide some salty BTS fun with Julia and George whilst filming Ticket to Paradise. We have two awesome Ausfilm Insiders for you this month, and both of them happen to feature Chris Hemsworth. Chris is not the only one who's been busy, as we also have news from Industrial Light & Magic, Spectrum Films, Screen Australia and more!

WESTERN AUSTRALIAN WRITER/DIRECTOR, JUB CLERC

Jub Clerc is a multiple award-winning Nyul Nyul/Yawuru woman from Western Australia's Kimberley region, and the recent recipient of TIFF's NETPAC award for her film, Sweet As. Jub has over 15 years of industry experience in writing, directing and casting. Screenwest deliver a wonderful Q&A with this very talented First Nations woman. Enjoy!
