Hello!

Welcome to my July 2026 newsletter.

Wow! Where is the year going? Another busy month has just gone by, with the launch of my new Maria Callas talk which has gone down a treat. Also a couple of Cartier talks, including a wonderful day this last week at The Lyceum Club where ASA held their annual NGV Winter Series day. There were such interesting speakers including Susannah Fullerton OAM who most of you know I work with closely.

Something of Interest...

A dear client sent a fascinating post recently about an extraordinary 250 year old stone set gold box. It was part of the Maurice Templesman collection that has recently been sold by Sotheby’s. I was able to find the YouTube video which tells you much more about this truly amazing piece.

Maurice Templesman was an interesting character too being closely associated with the Diamond industry most of his life. His other claim to fame and where I first came across him was that he was the soulmate and long-term companion of Jacqueline Kennedy towards the end of her life.

And this pair of 14ct yellow gold and South Sea pearl floral style clip-on earrings. Made as clip-ons for pierced ears, the posts can easily be removed so they become just clip ons.

And finally, continuing the “yellow” theme, how about this lovely slightly button shape golden South Sea pearl with pave Diamond bale. A gorgeous pearl, natural colour and measuring just over 15.0mm.
