Happy New Year! Welcome back! This is a year of celebration for Sedbergh School; 2025 marks the School's 500th anniversary. To commemorate this extraordinary milestone, we have planned many events throughout the year. Review them on our events page. The first is the Bridgewater Hall Concert, which will, amongst other superb performances, feature our Choir of over 60 pupils. This will be a stellar, one-off event—not to be missed - see below for details. We are thrilled to announce that the Chapel Choir has once again made it through to the Grand Final of the National Choir Competition, which takes place in March. It is a very different, new choir in many ways compared to the one that did so well last year, but it is a fantastic way to start 2025! It's been a snowy start to the New Year, and our pupils have lapped it up! Our feature images are from the First Epic: Frostrow Wall. The Frostrow Epic (aptly named given our freezing weather) marks the start of a big season of running at Sedbergh. Next Thursday, we are excited to welcome over 20 Prep Schools to the Rawthey Run. We have a strong tradition in running, with the highlight undoubtedly being the Wilson Run on 25th March. View the Sports Report and Performing Arts Report.
Countdown to the Bridgewater Hall Concert![]() The Bridgewater Hall Concert will be a showcase of talent that features the melodious voices of the Sedbergh School Choir, ensembles and solo performances by both current and former pupils. The evening promises to bring together the threads of our history in a symphony of joy and unity.
