Medical Disenrollment Among Young Adults As youth transition into adulthood, changes in health coverage can put them at risk of losing insurance. This risk is especially serious for young adults with complex medical needs. A new JAMA Pediatrics study led by the University of Chicago examined Medicaid disenrollment around age 19 across 46 states and Washington, D.C. The findings highlight significant coverage gaps during the transition to adulthood, with variation by state and by condition. New DHCS Web Pages on Federal Changes to Medi-Cal The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has launched new web pages to help counties, health plans, providers, and community partners track federal actions affecting Medi-Cal, including H.R. 1. The site includes updates on eligibility, benefits, behavioral health, Section 1115 waivers, and more, and outlines how California plans to implement required changes while minimizing disruption. 🌟 Youth Spotlight Resources
