CAT CURFEW
Cats must be at home at night
If you own a cat, or there is a cat living at your house, it must be kept on your property at night time, between sunset and sunrise.
Your cat can still go outside at night, but they must stay on your property. This can be done through fencing, enclosures or by keeping your cat indoors.
The curfew helps keep cats safer, reduce the impact of nuisance cats on the community, protect wildlife and the environment and help to manage feral cats

ANIMAL REGISTRATION
Check your details are correct
Animal registrations need to be renewed by 10 April each year.
Are you new to Mitchell Shire, have your contact details changed or is your pet no longer with you?
If so, please make sure the contact details associated with your animals have also been updated.
This will help us to return them if they get lost and helps us get the right information to you when you need it.

RECYCLE LIKE A PRO THIS EASTER
Did you know Easter egg foil wrappers are recyclable!?
They're too small and light to recycle on their own, but in a big ball (at least the size of a golf ball), you can recycle them in your yellow-lidded recycling bin.
Collect your foil wrappers and scrunch them into a ball. Get the whole family involved and see who can make the biggest foil ball this long weekend.
Easter egg foil is made from aluminium which is a valuable recyclable.
Approximately 75% of aluminium ever produced is still in use today as it can be recycled endlessly without compromising any of its unique properties or quality.
Aluminium’s lifecycle provides significant benefits through recycling, saving 95% of the energy it would take to make new aluminium metal – so don’t let those small pieces of precious metals go to waste.

SEYMOUR POOL
Indoor pool temporary closure
The indoor pool at the Seymour Sports and Aquatic Centre will be closed from Saturday 8 April for approximately four weeks for maintenance works and upgrades.
The pool’s heating system requires an upgrade and while the pool is drained, damaged tiles will be replaced, grouting redone and a commercial-grade clean completed.
While these repairs are being undertaken, there will be no access to the pool for lap swimming, aqua play or aqua classes.
We're also upgrading gym equipment, the stadium floor, adding new carpet in the foyer and new chairs in the pool deck.
