AusBike Funding For Children Purpose: To help more children enjoy the mental and physical health benefits of outdoor exercise. Parents or carers can enrol their children locally for term-based programs which will be delivered nationally by accredited instructors through cycling and riding clubs, leisure centres and private coaches. Australia Day 2024 Community Events Grants Program Amount: $10,000
Closing Date: 31 October 2023
Purpose: Event hosts can apply for a fixed grant of $10,000 to deliver events on Australia Day that use the NADC’s ‘Reflect. Respect. Celebrate. We’re all part of the story’ messaging. Applicants that collaborate with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to incorporate activities that reflect, respect and celebrate their history and culture will be eligible to apply for an additional $5,000. Australian Heritage Grants 2023-24 Amount: $25,000 - $400,000
Closing Date: 12 October 2023
Purpose: To improve recognition, conservation, preservation, and access to the National Heritage Values of National Heritage Listed places. The program also aims to increase community engagement and raise awareness of listed places. For more information: Click here

Community Language Schools Grants Program Amount: $30,000
Closing Date: 9 October 2023
Purpose: Grants will be available to eligible community language schools, enabling them to expand classes to pre-school aged children, purchase new resources, build quality learning environments, cover costs such as rent or teacher training, or provide fee-relief for disadvantaged students. Disability Representative Organisations (DRO) Grant Opportunity Amount: Up to $10.208 million over 2 years
Closing Date: 9 October 2023
Purpose: To ensure that disability issues and a diversity of voices are represented in decision-making, legislation, policy development and implementation of programs and policies that may affect people with disability. For more information: Click here

Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) Program Amount: $300,000 - $3 million
Closing Date: 6 October 2023
Purpose: To provide funding to organisations to deliver projects in the community that benefit all Australians with disability, their carers and families. These projects create connections between people with disability and the communities they live in. Projects aim to build the knowledge, skills and confidence of people with disability, and improve their access to community and mainstream services. For more information: Click here

Long Tan Bursary Amount: $12,000
Closing Date: Ongoing
Purpose: The Long Tan Bursary helps eligible children and grandchildren of Vietnam veterans pay for their tertiary education. Each year 37 bursaries are awarded to successful applicants across Australia. Each bursary is worth up to $12,000 over 3 years of continuous full-time study. For more information: Click here

Playing Australia Program Amount: Undisclosed
Closing Date: 10 October 2023
Purpose: To support performing art tours to reach regional and remote communities across Australia. The program supports net touring costs and other designated costs associated with tours. There is no limit on the amount that can be requested. For more information: Click here

Powering the Regions Fund - Safeguard Transformation Stream Round 1 Amount: $500,000.00 - $50 million
Closing Date: 1 November 2024
Purpose: The outcome of this grant opportunity is a reduction of emissions at trade exposed Safeguard facilities consistent with their obligations under the Safeguard Mechanism. For more information: Click here

Saluting Their Service (STS) Commemorative Grants Program Amount: Up to $150,000
Closing Date: 10 October 2023
Purpose: To commemorate the service and sacrifice of Australia’s service personnel in wars, conflicts and peace operations, and their families. Two categories of grants are available under the STS program: Community Grants - Up to $10,000 Major Grants - $10,001 - $150,000

Safe Places Emergency Accommodation Inclusion Round (Inclusion Round) Amount: Undisclosed
Closing Date: 14 November 2023
Purpose: The Australian Government is inviting organisations via an open, competitive grant process to apply for the Safe Places Inclusion Round. The Inclusion Round provides capital works grants for the renovation, building or purchase of new or expanded emergency accommodation for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence. 2024 Simpson Prize Closing Date: 3 November 2023
Purpose: The Simpson Prize is a national competition for Year 9 and 10 students that encourages students to learn and write about contributions made by Australians in the World War I. Winners from each state and territory will be part of a three-day history program in Canberra plus an overseas study tour for ANZAC Day in April 2024. For more information: Click here

Telecommunications Disaster Resilience Innovation (TDRI) Program Amount: $50 million
Closing Date: 20 October 2023
Purpose: To improve the resilience of telecommunication networks during natural disasters, particularly in rural, regional, remote and First Nations communities. For more information: Click here

Active Kids Program Amount: $50
Closing Date: 31 January 2024
Purpose: The NSW Government has announced changes to the Active Kids and First Lap programs. From 1 July 2023, all children enrolled in school will be eligible for a new $50 Active Kids voucher which will be valid until 31 January 2024. The voucher will be issued twice a year, at the start of Terms 1 and 3 and will cover activities currently available under the Active and Creative Kids programs. For more information: Click here

Community Building Partnership (CBP) Program Amount: $5,000 - $150,000
Closing Date: 27 October 2023
Purpose: This program awards grants for community infrastructure projects that deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes while also promoting community participation, inclusion and cohesion. For more information: Click here

Connecting Seniors Grant Program Amount: $20,000 - $40,000
Closing Date: 25 October 2023
Purpose: To help local government authorities and not-for-profit community organisations deliver projects to support seniors in connecting with others. This grant program builds on the Reducing Social Isolation for Seniors grants. For more information: Click here

Multicultural NSW Stronger Together Grants Program Amount: $5,000 - $15,000
Closing Date: 13 October 2023

NSW Women’s Week Grants Program Amount: $300,000

Purpose: The grant program provides funding for organisations to deliver an event or activity that supports the objectives of NSW Women’s Week.

SafeWork Small Business Rebate Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: Ongoing
Purpose: Small business owners and sole traders who have an ABN and less than 50 full time employees, as well as charities and not-for-profits, can apply for the NSW Government's $1,000 SafeWork Small Business Rebate, to purchase safety items to improve work health and safety for your organisation's staff. Let’s Fish Lake Mac Angles for Entrants Amount: More than $33,000 worth of prizes
Closing Date: 18-19 November 2023
Purpose: It’s not just bragging rights up for grabs at this year’s Let’s Fish Lake Mac competition – more than $33,000 worth of prizes are also on offer. The popular catch-and-release contest will see anglers of all ages wet a line in Lake Macquarie across the weekend of 18-19 November in search of four target fish species: tailor, flathead, bream and whiting.
