Meet the President-Elect
At the 17th Assembly in July, Rev Dr Paul Goh was elected as the next President of the Uniting Church in Australia. This video interview was filmed following the announcement, which was received with acclamation.
Ordained in the Presbyterian Church of Korea in 1999 and having migrated to Australia in 2010, Paul will be the first Korean to serve as President when he takes up the role in 2027.
In this interview, Paul shares about the journey that led him to ministry in the Uniting Church.

Let's have action planning for disability inclusion!
In September 2023 the Uniting Church WA Synod approved the Disability Access and Inclusion Policy. The Disability Synod Task Group members have been working steadily on the 2024-2027 Disability Access and Inclusion (DAI) Action Plan to ensure that the Policy is put into action across the WA Synod.
In the article the Task Group encourages congregations to celebrate International Day of People with Disabilities with a disability inclusive worship service in December.

- WA Day of Prayer with the Holy Land - Coming Soon! Following a Presbytery resolution in May, the Social Justice Commission have prepared a liturgical resource, inviting congregations, schools and agencies to choose a day in November to pray with the Holy Land, with the suggested date of 17 November. The resource will be available to download from the website later this week. Keep an eye on the social media or next week's News and Notes.
Leeming Uniting Church 40th Anniversary - Join Leeming Uniting Church as they celebrate their 40th Anniversary on Sunday 3 November from 11.00am to 2.30pm at Bull Creek Leeming Scout Hall, Bob Gordon Reserve. - Justice Hive - The first Justice Hive event of the Social Justice Commission is on this Saturday, 19 October 2024 from 12.00pm to 3.00pm. The event will be held at the Djidi Djidi Training Space, Uniting WA, 10/5 Aberdeen St, Perth. Bring and Share lunch to start.
