Senior School NewsWe’re absolutely delighted to share that earlier this week our choir was runner up at the National Choral Competition. The choir worked tirelessly to prepare their entry and at the finals in the magnificent Birmingham Symphony Hall there was only one mark separating Sedbergh from the winners. The first round of our Pathways talks continued when we welcomed Old Sedberghian, William Kinread, to talk to pupils about the different pathways into law. William kindly answered pupils questions about different universities, different branches of law and alternatives like the degree conversion courses. Anybody who'd like to revisit this Pathways presentation - or any of the preceeding talks can visit our Pathways Page on the School website. We caught up with two outstanding pupils, Mariella in Year 9 and Elif in Year 11. Mariella was celebrated at one of our recent Commendation Lunches and Elif has recently been overseas competing as part of the GB biathlon team. Elif explained the challenges of balancing School and training. We love these interviews for the inspiration they provide to other pupils approaching study whilst competing in sport (at any level) or transitioning from Prep to the bigger environment of Senior School. After a rigorous recruitment process, Casterton, Sedbergh Prep School has appointed Kate Martin as the new Head and she will begin on 1st January 2025. The full details can be found below. Lastly, if you are attending the Wilson Run, remember to book dinner or lunch. Whilst you're there you can take a sneak peek at the performances coming up in May and June!
