South Carolina Football Hall of Fame Unveils Finalists for 2024 Blanchard-Rogers Trophy

Celebrating Excellence in South Carolina College Football

Greenville, SC:  The South Carolina Football Hall of Fame (SCFHOF) is thrilled to announce the nine outstanding finalists for the 2024 Blanchard-Rogers Trophy, presented by Ellison Kibler Merrill Lynch. Widely regarded as “South Carolina’s Heisman,” this prestigious award recognizes the most exceptional college football player with ties to the Palmetto State.

The winner will be honored during the 12th Annual Enshrinement Ceremony on April 17, 2025, at the luxurious Hotel Hartness in Greenville, South Carolina.

The 2024 Blanchard-Rogers Trophy celebrates excellence both on and off the field, honoring players who were born, raised, or played high school or college football in South Carolina. Voting is now open to the public at scfootballhof.org, allowing fans, SCFHOF members, and media to cast their votes through January 13, 2025.

2024 Blanchard-Rogers Finalists (Alphabetically Listed)

 

Mario Anderson, Jr. (RB/Summerville, SC/Stratford High School/University of Memphis)): 

2024 Stats: 1,292 rush yards, 17 rushing TDs, 19 total TDs, 1,596 total yards.

 

 

Jordan Burch (EDGE/Columbia, SC/Hammond School/University of Oregon): 

2024 Stats: 28 total tackles, 11.0 TFL, 8.5 sacks, 5 PBUs, 1 FF, 1 FR.

 

Nick Emmanwori (DB/Irmo, SC/Irmo High School/ University of South Carolina): 

2024 Stats: 83 total tackles, 3.0 TFL, 4 interceptions, 2 defensive TDs.

 

Ashaad Hall (EDGE/South Carolina State University): 

2024 Stats: 40 total tackles, 14.0 TFL, 11.0 sacks, 3 FF, 1 FR.

 

Kyle Kennard (EDGE/University of South Carolina): 

2024 Stats: 28 total tackles, 15.5 TFL, 11.5 sacks, 3 FF, 2 FR.

 

 

Cade Klubnik (QB/Clemson University): 

2024 Stats: 64.2 completion %, 3,041 passing yards, 29 TDs, 437 rushing yards, 7 rushing TDs, 149.0 efficiency rating.

 

TJ Parker (EDGE/Clemson University): 

2024 Stats: 46 total tackles, 15.5 TFL, 10.0 sacks, 5 FF, 1 FR.

 

LaNorris Sellers (QB/Florence, SC/South Florence High School/University of South Carolina):

2024 Stats: 64.9 completion %, 2,274 passing yards, 17 passing TDs , 655 rushing yards, 7 rushing TDs, 152.9 efficiency rating.

 

Avieon Terrell (DB/Clemson University): 

2024 Stats: 50 total tackles, 4.5 TFL, 1 sack, 10 PBUs, 2 interceptions, 3 FF, 2 FR.

 

This year’s finalists embody the rich football heritage of South Carolina, continuing the legacy of the award’s namesakes, Felix “Doc” Blanchard and George Rogers, both Heisman Trophy winners.

Honoring South Carolina’s Football Legacy

Since its inception in 2016, the Blanchard-Rogers Trophy has become a symbol of excellence in South Carolina collegiate football. Last year, Xavier Legette, received the 2023 trophy just before being drafted in the NFL’s first round by the Carolina Panthers.
