Ahoy ,
Winter Down Under is a great time to get productive and it shows in the stories we have from our members this month. On the flip side, in the warmth of the Los Angeles sunshine, Ausfilm returned to our event circuit with our annual Partner With Australia event program for the first time since 2019. It was great to reconnect our members with the LA film and TV industry again, it felt like we had not hit pause on the last two years. It's great to be back! Be sure to check out our photo gallery from all the events below.
We've got some golden content this June issue, take a peek inside the musical mind of Victorian Sound Designer, Composer and First Nations man, James Henry in our First Nations Spotlight. We also cast a Location Spotlight on Queensland's vibrant city of Brisbane. VFX members, ILM and KOJO introduce us to their talented team mates. Screen Australia provide a concise outline of the Producer Offset while Animal Logic and Screen NSW gear up the future talent of animation and VFX. News after Cannes from MPC and South Australian Film Corporation. With additonal news from Method, Screen Queensland, and
Heliguy.
Happy reading no matter what hemisphere you're in!
All our Wintery best,
The Ausfilm Team
