Trek for Timor 2023 - South West and Perth
Are you interested in walking and in supporting a great cause? This year there are two great opportunities to support our international partners in East Timor, Lafaek Diak, by joining a Trek for Timor!
The International Partnerships and Development Commission (IPDC) are pleased to be supporting a South West Trek on 1 October in the Crooked Brook Forest, near Bunbury, and a Perth Trek on 5 November starting at Mount Pleasant Uniting Church, walking around the Mount Henry and Canning Bridges. Walk to save a life!
Basis of Union Intensive
The Basis of Union, the founding document of the Uniting Church in Australia, is a rich and profound text that offers as much today as it did at Union. This three day course led by Assoc Prof Geoff Thompson, Co-ordinator of Studies in Systematic Theology at Pilgrim Theological College, will bring the Basis to life and explore its continuing relevance for our Church today.

Taking Action for the Voice - Four ways you can support a Yes vote in the Referendum
The 47th Annual Meeting of the Uniting Church Synod of WA is taking place from 8 to 10 September 2023. All are welcome to attend the Installation of Rev Dr Ian Tozer as Moderator which will take place during the opening worship on Friday 8 September. The service will be at All Saints Floreat Uniting Church, 50 Berkeley Crescent, Floreat, starting at 7.00pm. Watch Rev Dr Tozer introduce his theme here.
Margaret River Uniting Church share in a video about their connection with the Margaret River Community Pantry as a practical way of supporting people in need in the local community.
Juniper Sarah Hardey pays tribute to last residents in a special memorial service run by the therapy team with support from Juniper Pastoral and Spiritual Care Coordinator Liz Wong.
Ethical Ministry Workshop – Self Care in Ministry - The WA Synod in-person Ethical Ministry Workshop (EMW) is scheduled for Thursday 31 August, 9.00am to 12.00pm at Maylands/Mt Lawley Uniting Church. A Zoom workshp is scheduled for Tuesday 5 September, 5.00pm to 8.00pm. RSVP to cultureofsafety@wa.uca.org.au. All Uniting Church ministry agents – ordained/active retired/lay listed in the Professional Standards Policy are expected to participate.
Blessing of the Animals - Star Street Uniting Church invite you to their Sunday morning service on 27 August, 9.30am, to give thanks to God for the animals in our lives, be it pets and animals that are found in the nature around us.
