2017 Annual Chapter SurveyIt's that time of year again! We want to hear about your chapter's exciting events and programs from the past year. Annual chapter reports help us tell the story of Slow Food across the country by highlighting what chapters are doing on the ground. It's also your chance to tell us how to contact you, what's working and what's not. The deadline for submitting the annual chapter survey is Wednesday, February 14, 2018. In order to be in good standing and be listed on our website, every chapter needs to fill out this survey and file taxes. We recommend preparing your answers ahead of time using this PDF before submitting the report. If you have any questions about completing the report, please email us. Complete your annual chapter survey.

New Snails in the Prairie!
We're excited to welcome two new chapters to the Slow Food USA family! To date, Slow Food Michigan State University has raised over $600 through fundraisers and donations. The chapter will distribute these funds upon many ventures and activities that
contribute to the education and action of sustainable, local, and healthy food within the Greater Lansing community. So far, SFMSU has participated in volunteering and outreach events, educational events, social events, and collaborative events with other campus clubs. From documentary screenings to volunteering at local farms, their events will promote the betterment of their community.
Slow Food Hofstra University's (NY) goal is to foster the growth of the local food movement through garden mentoring for homeless Veterans, special needs schools, K-12 public and private schools, universities and church groups in addition to incorporating slow food into their curricula. The chapter leaders have been intimately involved with several growing and educational conferences such as the Small Farm Summit and the Long Island Food Conferences. The chapter plans to continue this type of outreach and education.
