2025 Uniting Church Anniversary Message
Uniting Church in Australia President Rev Charissa Suli has shared a video message to mark the 48th anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia on 22 June 2025.
In her anniversary message Rev Suli highlights two milestones for the Uniting Church in 2025 - 40 years of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress, and 40 years since the Assembly made the declaration that the Uniting Church is a multicultural church.
The video message can be downloaded and shared in your worship services, as well as a written message.
Rural Network Gathering
The Presbytery Rural and Remote Network are hosting a gathering on Friday 20 June, starting at 2.00pm at South Perth Uniting Church. The topic for the gathering will be ‘Covenanting in rural and remote communities’.
This gathering is open to the wider Uniting Church WA community.
The day will include worship, a talk with the guest speaker Uncle Ken Sumner, afternoon tea and a time of discussion. After the meeting time people are invited to stay for a shared meal.

Nominations for Moderator-Elect - At the 49th Annual Meeting of the Synod of Western Australia, in September this year, we will be electing a Moderator-elect, to be Installed as the Moderator at the 50th Synod in September 2026. As the church collectively seeks the call of God for a person to fill this important leadership role, the Moderatorial Nominating Committee is asking members of the church to prayerfully consider, then nominate, any person who might strongly exercise this role. Presbytery of WA Annual Meeting - The 20th Annual Meeting of the Presbytery of WA is taking place on Saturday 21 June 2025 from 9.00am to 4.00pm at Mount Pleasant Uniting Church. For meeting information and papers please go to the Presbytery Meetings and Minutes page.
Earthwise Community Open Day - Earthwise Community at 315 Bagot Rd in Subiaco are having an Open Day on Saturday 28 June 2025 from 8.30am to 1.00pm. There will be workshops on wicking beds and worm farms, along with the op shop, produce stalls, live music, kids activities and more.
The Big Garage Sale including a Great Outback BBQ for Frontier Services - Star Street Uniting Church are having a Big Garage Sale on Saturday 21 June, from 8.00am. Come along and grab a bargain. Proceeds from the garage sale go to Star Street UC's emergency food relief program. You can also bring non-perishable items to donate to the food program. In conjunction with the Garage Sale, they will also be hosting ‘The Great Outback BBQ’ raising funds for Frontier Services, providing support for Aussie farmers doing it tough.
