Pancake Day

Register for Pancake Day 2025

Flip for a good cause!

Pancake Day is an annual fundraising event by Uniting WA, raising money for their work in local communities.  It's also a great way for your congregation or community to celebrate the beginning of Lent.

The suggested date for a Pancake Day fundraising event is Shrove Tuesday, 4 March, however you can host a Uniting WA Pancake Day event at any time until the end of April.

Information on hosting a Pancake Day fundraising event is available on the Uniting WA website, or you can email fundraising@unitingwa.org.au or call 9220 1222.

Lent Event 2025

Lent Event 2025

40 days of faith-filled action for God's creation.

UnitingWorld's Lent Event runs from 5 March to 17 April 2025.  This year Lent Event will be an opportunity to hear voices of courage and resilience from Tonga and beyond, standing with the poor and vulnerable on the frontlines of climate change.  

Fundraising during Lent Event will help communities in the Pacific and Asia fight poverty, build food security and safeguard lives in the face of climate change and disasters.

World Day of Prayer 2025

World Day of Prayer - Wonderfully Made.

"I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made..." Psalm 139:14

World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical moment led by Christian women who welcome you to join in prayer and action for peace and justice.  World Day of Prayer 2025 is on Friday 7 March, with the material prepared by the WDP Cook Islands on the theme 'I Made You Wonderful' based on Psalm 139:1-18.  The feature poster is by Cook Island artists Tarani Napa and Tevairangi Napa. You can find the worship resources and poster art here.

Sharing our Resources Messy Church

Sharing our resources at Messy Church

Kalamunda Uniting Church have been running a Messy Church program for the last 10 years.  As the program has developed over time, it has become not just a church activity for community to ‘consume’, but more an opportunity for church and community to participate in, and develop together.
Last year Kalamunda Messy Church invited Good Sammy Enterprises to join them as they explored the theme 'sharing resources'.  Read all about it in our Revive story here!

Ministry Opportunity - Presbytery Minister (Mission)

Join our Presbytery ministry team!

Expressions of interest are invited from members of the Uniting Church, either ordained or lay, for a full time (or part time) ministry position within the Presbytery of WA.
The Presbytery Minister (Mission) will work with the Thrive Mission Committee and other staff of Presbytery to support and resource congregations and faith communities across WA to engage in worship, witness and service as the people of God in their communities.

  • Is Lent Still Relevant? (UnitingWorld) - In a fast-paced world dominated by 24-hour news cycles, consumer culture and the dizzying expansion of technology, the season of Lent can feel like a relic of the past.
  • How Bush Chaplains Are Changing Lives Across Australia (Frontier Services) - For many people living in rural and remote Australia, a Bush Chaplain is more than just a spiritual guide—they are a friend, a counselor, and a vital support in times of crisis.
  • Uniting for Peace in Palestine - A forum, 'Uniting for Peace in Palestine' is being held on Sunday 23 February from 2.00pm to 5.00pm (AWST) at Woden Valley Uniting Church, ACT. The UCA President, Rev Charissa Suli, will be addressing the question, “What more can the Uniting Church do to promote peace in Palestine and Israel?” During the forum two other speakers will formally participate in the discussion, Dr Sue Wareham, National President of MAPW, and Lama Al Qasem of the APAN. Participation in this event is available via zoom - interested people from around Australia are welcome to join in.  Email againstthewind.wvuc@gmail.com to register for the zoom link.
  • Presbytery of WA Meeting - The next meeting of the Presbytery of WA will be on Saturday 22 March 2025 at Trinity North Uniting Church, Greenwood Church Centre, 85-89 Marlock Dve, Greenwood.
  • Induction of Rev Sione Lea'aetoa - A Service of Induction for Rev Sione Lea'aetoa as Minister in placement at Mount Pleasant Uniting Church will take place on Saturday 1 March starting at 2.00pm. All are welcome!
