iGEM Human Practices Committee

Need Help with Human Practices? The Committee is here to help!

Making your project useful in the “real” world

As part of your Human Practices work, your team will be trying to create active feedback loops between your iGEM project and the world in which it exists. As you do this, you will encounter complex issues across areas such as ethics, sustainability, inclusion, and security. We know this is not always easy! This newsletter is meant to highlight some of the resources available to help your team.

Check-In Survey

This anonymous survey will help us figure out what challenges teams are facing and how we can help:

  • Does outreach or educational work count as Human Practices?
  • What is the difference between the Gold and Silver medal criteria for Human Practices?
