Building Connections, Advancing Health Excellence

At National Medical Fellowships (NMF), we know that meaningful change in health care doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens through relationships. Each day, we work to bridge communities, disciplines, and generations to build a cadre of health care leaders committed to delivering the highest quality care to every patient, everywhere.

NMF is creating spaces for dialogue, partnership, and progress—from community gatherings to innovative programs—so we can shape the future of medicine together.

Let’s continue to forge these vital connections—because health excellence for all is only possible when we unite with purpose.

Primary Care Leadership Program Celebrates 14th Year

To increase access to primary care for communities facing the greatest health challenges, National Medical Fellowships established the Primary Care Leadership Program (PCLP) in 2012. PCLP provides future health care professionals with an opportunity to experience the challenges and rewards of primary care practice in community health centers across the U.S. The program seeks to address the growing shortage of primary care physicians as the Bureau of Health Workforce projects that the shortage of primary care physicians could reach 87,150 by 2037. For six weeks this summer, PCLP scholars actively engaged with community health center site partners and PCLP mentors in Los Angeles for leadership training, team-based project activities, and to deliver health care services.
