The resource expresses our hopes for Australia to be a nation that is just, compassionate, inclusive and courageous. Our Vision for a Just Australia is a collaboration of those engaged in working for justice across the Uniting Church's Synods and agencies. New Moderator to be ElectedA new Moderator is elected every three years and is the pastoral and spiritual leader for the Uniting Church in WA. In September this year, at the 49th Annual Meeting of the Synod of Western Australia, the Uniting Church WA will elect a new Moderator-elect. This person will succeed Rev Dr Ian Tozer as Moderator commencing at the 50th Annual Meeting of the Synod of WA in September 2026 for the triennium 2026 to 2029. President's Easter MessageThe 2025 Easter message from Uniting Church in Australia President Rev Charissa Suli is now here to give hope and inspiration to your Easter season! Inspired by the women who faithfully came to the tomb in the early morning and had their sorrow transformed into joy, the President calls to us to rise from our tombs and live as Easter people. Read Article Special Synod Meeting and Apology to Congress (UCWA)On Saturday 22 March 2025 a special meeting of the Synod of Western Australia was held to discuss matters relating to the Beananging Kwuurt Institute (BKI). Reports were received by the Moderator, Rev Dr Ian Tozer, by the Synod Standing Committee, the Nominating Committee, and the BKI Board. The meeting concluded with the Moderator reading an Apology to Congress.
