And welcome to my first newsletter of 2025.  With the forthcoming Australian Open here in Melbourne, did you know that the modern origins of the “tennis” bracelet hark back to the 1978 US Open? Chris Evert-Lloyd was wearing her Diamond line bracelet and at one point the match was halted so she could find her “lost” bracelet that had fallen off during this particular game. Fortunately for Chris it was found and from that moment on, the Diamond line bracelet was renamed “the tennis bracelet”.

This particular jewel has now become an essential part of any modern jewellery collection.
