The South Carolina Football Hall of Fame Announces 5th Annual #BBEA25Day Details
Greenville, SC — May 7, 2025 — The South Carolina Football Hall of Fame (SCFHOF) in collaboration with the NFL Alumni Association, South Carolina Chapter, has announced that the 5th Annual #BBEA25Day celebration will be on May 9, 2025. This day has been set aside as a statewide celebration of the 58 students that were nominated for the 2025 Bridge Builder Excellence Award.
Award Criteria:
Football Excellence = 40%
Academics - Minimum 3.2 Core GPA = 30%
Exemplary School, Character, Community Citizenship, Evidence through Non-Profit service, and Leadership = 30%
Each nominee receives a certificate of excellence for their accomplishments. They are asked to take a picture with their Certificate of Excellence and post it on their social media and tag @scfootballhof on Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter) so we can retweet, like, comment and share in their accomplishments using the hashtags #BBEA25Day & #SCTop10N2030 in their post. The SCFHOF is encouraging the South Carolina community to join us in “liking” and “sharing” their posts and commenting with encouragement for these students as a reward and recognition of their excellence.
The SCFHOF is hosting a private live celebration on May 9th at the South Carolina Public School District in Columbia, SC with the 58 nominees, their families, and coaches. The celebration will include media training, encouragement from Governor Henry McMaster and Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver, and a Q & A with former pro athletes, coaches and business professionals. Whataburger will be providing lunch and Vapor Apparel will be onsite and providing shirts for the nominees. The event would not be possible without the South Carolina Public Charter School District, Wyatt Sports and Entertainment (WSE), Vapor Apparel, Whataburger, and the NFL Alumni Association, South Carolina Chapter.
The SCFHOF and our community leaders are a vital part of our mission to bring South Carolina students into the Top 10 nationally in college and career readiness by December 31, 2030. Imagine how awesome this will be!
