Fall 2025 Registration News | Yale Course Search opens for the 2025-2026 academic year today. New courses will be added on a rolling basis and YSE courses will be added in May. You can add YSE courses to your worksheets during add/drop in August. Refer to the newly revised EVST 2025-26 BA Checklist or BS Checklist when selecting courses and check the FAQ page on the EVST website for answers to some common registration questions, including: · How to register for graduate and professional school courses · How to choose concentration courses · What courses fulfill the advanced seminar requirement Fall '25 Application for Writing about Science, Medicine, and the Environment (MBB 4590/ENGL 4459/EVST 4469) | Students will learn to write about complex subjects for a broad public audience. This course is intended not only for students interested in pursuing a career in writing, but also for students planning to become scientists, doctors, and policymakers—for anyone who wants to learn how to tell stories about the natural world and about pressing social issues. About the instructor: Carl Zimmer is professor adjunct in MB&B, a columnist for the New York Times, and the author of 15 books about science. For more information, see carlzimmer.com. The Law, Environment & Animals Program's (LEAP's) Student Grant Program seeks to support Yale University student-led research and creative projects during the academic year and the summer, focused on advancing understanding of, drawing attention to, and/or developing strategies to address the urgent threats facing non-human animals. SeniorsAlaska Fellows Program (AFP) Opportunities | AFP is a fall-to-spring residential fellowship program that nurtures the next generation of Alaska-based leaders by pairing talented young people with strong communities and professional mentors. AFP has locations in four different communities within Alaska – Sitka, Juneau, Anchorage, and Fairbanks. Fellows work with a vetted nonprofit or public-sector organization to make tangible professional contributions, join a tight-knit residential fellowship cohort, and engage deeply with Alaska communities.
