Hi All,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support of Housing First Village! Together we have come a long way over the past year. Throughout 2020 we saw the need for Housing First Village only continue to grow, as the global pandemic exposed and deepened existing challenges for community members experiencing chronic homelessness. Despite the challenges, 2020 brought some good news for Housing First Village.

We purchased land, submitted development plans, furthered our community partnerships, brought in new perspectives, and continued the conversation through education and outreach so that at this time next year, 19 residents of Housing First Village can ring in 2022 from their own homes.

ICYMI, here are some of the top resources we shared throughout our progress this year

  • Research "Implementing Tiny Homes as Permanent Supportive Housing" from our learning and evaluation partners at the Urban Insitute by Corianne Payton Scally, Amanda Gold, Wilton Oliver, and Clare Salerno.
  • A recorded webinar on Supportive Housing with exerts from the Urban Institute, Corporation for Supportive Housing, and HRDC — use the passcode: 0f+0RvZ7
  • A recording of our November Community Update meeting
  • A link to contribute a year-end donation if you are able to support in this way. This year the CARES act enabled a tax benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions for up to $300 of charitable donations.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and looking forward to good things to come in 2021.

Best,

Lila
