Need some ideas for building an intergenerational church culture in your congregation? All are welcome to an Intergenerational Church Workshop on Saturday 5 July from 9.00am to 12.00pm at All Saints Floreat Uniting Church. This workshop is designed to get congregations on the path to planning what intergenerational church could be in their context. Cost is $10 to cover morning tea and materials. Pioneer Ministry in New Housing AreasThrive Mission Committee is delighted to welcome Rev Alison Boulton, a leading voice in missional engagement within new housing areas, to Western Australia this July. There are two seminar opportunities available where Alison will lead sessions drawing on her 8-part course for discerning and equipping people and communities called to plant or grow expressions of church in new housing developments. The seminars cost $75 per session and includes morning tea and light lunch. Click on each event to find out more. A Heart for CommunitySt Martin’s Foothills Uniting Church in Forrestfield was the first new congregation formed within the Uniting Church in Australia, post Union. There was a vision to provide outreach into the Perth eastern metropolitan suburbs in the foothills of the Darling Range escarpment. St Martin's have a vibrant Op-Shop and Community Centre run by dedicated teams of volunteers from the congregation and community. The Op-Shop commenced operations in August 1995 and will soon be marking 30 years of service to the community! Marty’s Community Centre is currently run every Thursday morning at the church. Volunteers greet people with a friendly smile, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Read all about these community services in our Revive article. Hedland Fijian Uniting Church Opening and DedicationJoin the Hedland Fijian Uniting Church for the official opening and dedication of their worship centre in Port Hedland on Saturday 28 June 2025. The Dedication Service will start at 9.00am at the newly re-opened Port Hedland church building at 147 Athol Street, Port Hedland, with morning tea to follow. At 1.00pm there will be a Celebration Feast at the Port Hedland Community Centre - Milpaku Kuma, which will include a traditional Fijian ceremony, feasting and entertainment.
