What is Fun Team Building for $100, Alex!Happy (almost) June everyone! Days full of sunshine are upon us, and our summer season is packed with fun and exciting team building events with our clients all over the country! This June we have several sold out dates and can hardly wait for our upcoming treasure hunts including the Lost Shaker of Salt Scavenger Hunt, Food Frenzy Scavenger Hunt, and our best-selling hunt, The Great Race! Additionally, our team is looking forward to making an impact with our clients with the charitable team builders we have on the books including our Red Wagon Brigade, Mini Golf Fore Good, After School Snack Sacks, and more! Before we write our monthly newsletter, our team comes together to discuss which event we should spotlight. This month, everyone agreed that the event they cannot get enough of is our newest game show, Game Show Greats! Game Show GreatsClassic team building fun meets new technology in this game show, which finds teams competing in activities inspired by famous game shows on a mobile device at their team table. This game show is a mix of emcee-led challenges and custom in-app challenges where the focus shifts to each team table. As the event progresses, the emcee reveals passcodes that allow teams to access locked challenges that run the gamut from all the game show greats, such as: - Survey Says – Where teams must select the top answer from the many provided such as, “top-selling candy bar” or “favorite movies of all time.” - What’s That Tune? – Teams hear song bytes and must answer questions about them. For instance, teammates listen to a snippet of Cheeseburger In Paradise and must identify what topping is NOT on the cheeseburger. - In Jeopardy – Teams must answer trivia questions in different categories. - Is the Price Right? – Teams bid on an item and the team that is closest to the actual price – without going over – comes on down to the stage to compete in on-stage pricing challenges. - Fortunate – Teams must determine what letters are missing to complete the phrases shown on their screen… and more! Throughout Game Show Greats a scoreboard tracks team points in real time. At the end, the players from the top team join the emcee on stage to roaring audience applause to accept their award medals. Lunch TunesLooking for a fun activity for your group? Host a Tune Trivia challenge over lunch. Begin by selecting the type of music that will appeal the most to your group. For instance, it could be pop, country, or even a decade such as the 80s. Then, select popular songs everyone will recognize to create your Tune Trivia questions. Examples of questions include finish the lyric, auto tunes (where you read out the lyrics in a monotone voice and players must guess the song), name the artist, guess the song from the intro, or name the year the song was released. Make sure your trivia is unique and fun, and a good mix of questions! During your Tune Trivia, invite players to sit in groups of 4-5 and encourage them to work together while answering questions. Remember to tell teams that cell phones are not permitted! Once you’ve gone over the answers, award a prize to the top team, such as a gift card to a local spot for lunch or some branded swag. |
