Upcoming EventsPlanetary Solutions in Clean Energy Internship Showcase | Thursday, October 10th, Noon-2:00 PM. Planetary Solutions in Clean Energy Internship (PSiCE) program. PSiCE offers summer internship opportunities to students at Yale who are committed to advancing energy equity and pursuing a career in the clean energy field. Come and hear about their experiences, learn more about the program, and network with others interested in clean and equitable energy. Five out of the eight students presenting are undergrads. Students will present from 12:00-1:00 and lunch will be served immediately following. Kroon Hall - Burke Auditorium. Register here. Global Health Studies Info Session | The Global Health Studies Program is hosting two info sessions open to all Yale undergraduates interested in global health. Faculty and current Global Health Scholars will be on hand to discuss the program and answer student questions.
Pandemics, health, well-being, equity, emergencies are some examples of topics that fall under the global health umbrella. Yale undergraduates typically apply to the Global Health Studies Program in the fall of their sophomore year (and juniors may be considered under certain circumstances). Admitted students become Global Health Scholars, and pursue a course of study with core and elective courses, funded summer research, program events, and cohort activities. OpportunitiesPost Grad Opportunities The Department of Biology at Miami University Masters and PhD | The Department provides guaranteed support through teaching assistantships (which include tuition waivers) and faculty research grants. Miami is located in Oxford Ohio, a college town with ample outdoor opportunities and a vibrant downtown. Miami currently enrolls approximately 2,300 graduate students and 20,500 undergraduates. Graduate Position in Acoustic Amphibian Ecology Starting Fall 2025 (application deadline January 1) Recruiting a highly motivated applicant to join our labs and to work on the acoustic ecology of desert breeding amphibians co-advised by Dr. Nancy McIntyre (Biology) and Dr. Kerry Griffis-Kyle (Natural Resources Management) at Texas Tech University. Prospective students will be funded by a 9-month/year Biology Department Teaching Assistantship (3 years for M.S. students, 5 years for Ph.D. students) and possibly by additional graduate school fellowships with awards ranging from $2500 for 1 year to $30,000/yr for 3 years. Ecosystem Science Laboratory | Lab group integrates phytoplankton community ecology and biogeochemistry to understand lake ecosystem response to global change. Ongoing projects investigate the influence of disturbance on algal community assembly and ecosystem function.
