Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, she moved to the U.S. in 2012 and pursued her medical education after discovering her calling through personal experiences and encouragement from family. Her ability to connect with patients from different backgrounds allows her to build trust and provide holistic care that goes beyond medicine. Josephine states, “Just being present for patients—listening, caring, and cheering them on their health journey—is one of the ways I show up for them.” She believes that loving God and loving people is at the core of her work, seeing her role as an extension of her faith.
