Note from the R.E.Happy Summer everyone! If anyone was at yesterday’s autocross event, you possibly saw me, because I finally got back out to come and shake the [quite a bit of] rust off. This was the first time I’ve “driven in anger” since the end of the season in 2023. So, to say I was rusty, I…was…rusty. It was great to come out and see everyone and enjoy the event as a competitor. [Editor's note: welcome back, now keep coming back!] I’d like to say how nice it was to see everyone at the event, many of you I haven’t seen for a long time! I’d like to mention Kenny Adam who got in the car with me for my second run and was screaming “FLOOR IT MAMA!!” to make me go faster…and man, that surely helped! Having John as my tire warmer helped as well…considering several times during his first run (my scaredy cat brain) I thought TOOOO FAST! Well, the MR2 did MR2 things and handled those areas like a champ, giving me the confidence to push the car to its comfort level rather than my own. Thanks to Lisa Leathery for working timing with me – our heat had plenty of issues, between the start and finish not cooperating to losing a car, I’m sorry you guys had to deal with those delays! If you’re mad about any timing stuff, just blame me, it’s easier than blaming the timing lights! A VERY special thank you to Jared McGahen. He has done so much for this program since early 2024, and was basically a Chair in every way except the title. So with the 2025 season coming, it was more than fair to officially promote him to the title he deserves. He’s done so much for the program, helping the day to go faster, and allow everyone to have a better experience, and he’s constantly improving things as he can. He’s done a fantastic job, so if you see him, make sure you thank him for everything he does. It’s a big job, where most of it happens behind the scenes. I look forward to future events this season, coming out as a competitor only and enjoying time to really enjoy the car and our crazy car family again.
Keep it Classy Susquehanna,
Reminder: Event Photos Available! Many of us remember that one run where everything just flowed, or maybe that one cone we just couldn't keep from tagging. They say a picture's worth a thousand words, so why not get a photo from our events to show off to friends and family? With easy downloads and paper prints right at your fingertips, Ben Burkhart Photography has you covered. Regale your loved ones with the excitement of racing (and maybe convince them to come join the fun) with photos from Autocross, Rallycross, Hill Climb, Car Shows, and sometimes even someone being goofy in paddock. Hit the button below and check out Ben's work, as he continues to be not only a great photographer at our events, but also a continuing region sponsor.
A Vitour-ious AnnouncementDid you know that Vitour Tires are now legal? Yep, there was a lot of confusion about them last year but rest assured, they're legal for autocross in your Miata, Corvette, or even Triumph Spitfire. You can order them at vitourp1.com

Car Classing Help AvailableNew to SCCA functions/events, and not sure where your car fits in? Just finished putting enough aero on your Avalon to cross the Atlantic, and not sure if it's legal for H Street? Well good news -- with some help from our fantastic volunteers, we now can assist with car classing questions. Do not be afraid to ask on the facebook groups for classing information as well, but there's now another way to get assistance if you'd prefer. News from SCCA 5 Things You Need to Know About ProSoloJUN 12, 2025 — Picture this: A two vehicle drag race, but instead of a quarter mile straight line, there are a pair of autocross courses chock full of corners and slaloms. Sounds like fun, right? Well, it IS fun, and the SCCA® has a program where anyone can do it with nothing more than a car and an approved helmet. It’s called ProSolo®, and it’s essentially a mashup of autocross and E.T. bracket drag racing. If you already compete in SCCA’s Solo® program, then you already know 98% of what’s needed to compete in a Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo Series event. In other words, the point of this article is to fill in as much of the other 2% as possible. Here are the five things you need to know about ProSolo. 2025 SCCA Solo National Championships Contingency Programs Are Ready to Rock Your WorldJUN 16, 2025 — Prep for the Sept. 1-5, 2025, Tire Rack SCCA® Solo® National Championships is simple! Register for the event (open registration begins June 17!), get to Lincoln, NE, in time for your run group, walk the courses, add a splash of gas to your car, then it’s time to rock-n-roll on course!Oh, but you missed a step: You need to register for SCCA’s Solo National Championships contingency programs! If you already signed up for Solo National Tour or ProSolo contingency programs this season, you’ll need to also register for the contingency programs specific to the rock-n-roll themed 2025 Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships, as this event is a totally different beast of burden. Luckly, contingency registration involves just a click, a click, then boom, done! All SCCA Solo Nationals contingency programs are FREE(!) to sign up for, and through something as simple as adding stickers to your car, you then qualify for cash, prizes, or certificates for some of the best products on the market. What kind of products? Try tires, brakes, and springs, for example. Did we mention that these contingency programs are FREE(!!) to register for? Yes we did – but it’s worth repeating because there’s literally no downside to signing up for as many of these contingency programs as possible. RallyCross Divisional Challenge Heads into the Final FourJUN 20, 2025 — SCCA® RallyCross® is the beast everyone wants to tame. Problem is, it’s all but impossible to be perfect at this sport. With every run counting toward your overall score while course conditions are changing from run to run, RallyCross is arguably the Club’s most challenging motorsport. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try – and if you’ve never tried, now’s the time to jump in. Why? Because the 2025 RallyCross Divisional Challenge is set to begin its final four events, and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t enter one…or two, or all four. This year’s RallyCross Divisional Challenge kicked off with the Southern Pacific Challenge at the Camp Verde Equestrian Center in Camp Verde, AZ. That mid-February event drew RallyCrossers from far and wide to see who would land on top as many drivers began their prep for the season-ending RallyCross National Championship, taking place this October in Hollytree, AL. But the Southern Pacific Challenge was only the warmup. Four more events are gearing up, and it’s time for you to hit the dirt. Time Trials Nationals: What to Know and (Importantly) How to RegisterJUN 19, 2025 — Whether this year has been a competition season to remember or one you’d prefer to forget, the best (some might say ONLY) way to wrap 2025 is by heading to the Sept. 19-21 Tire Rack SCCA® Time Trials Nationals.Time Trials Nationals is the granddaddy of the Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge. Predating the entire series, Time Trials Nationals turned up the heat in 2018, spawning a national series (then called the Time Trials National Tour) from 2019-’24. In 2025, the Tour was reborn as the Time Attack Challenge – but the Time Trials Nationals remains the same. And by “the same,” we mean an awesome must-attend event. Yet there’s one HUGE difference this year: For the first time ever, Time Trials Nationals will be held at Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum, PA. Pitt Race has undergone quite a transformation since its creation around the turn of the century. The facility really hit its stride less than 15 years ago, however, with the addition of a second racing circuit, which added a 1.2-mile track option to the already fantastic 1.6-mile original road course. Combined, the South and North tracks turn into a winding 2.780-mile racetrack that challenges even the best. ——— Sponsors ———2024 Event ScheduleAutocross Dates:
