Pancake DayShrove Tuesday is just around the corner (17 Feb)! Will you be flipping for a cause this year? Uniting WA are inviting congregations to take part in a Pancake Day fundraising event this year by hosting or supporting a simple pancake event within your community. Your participation would not only bring joy and connection to your community, but also play a meaningful role in supporting people experiencing homelessness. You can host your event on Pancake Day / Shrove Tuesday, or any time until the end of March. We'd love to hear about it - email communications@wa.uca.org.au West Timor PartnershipThe West Timor partnership is one of the three currently supported by the WA Synod’s International Partnerships and Development Commission (IPDC). Nedlands Uniting Church have led the partnership with the Universitas Kristen Artha Wacana, Christian University in Kupang, West Timor for over 12 years. The project has provided scholarships for students who would otherwise be unable to afford University. Nedlands Uniting Church are hosting three staff members from the University in mid March. At a breakfast on 14 March there will be an opportunity to hear from the staff as they share personal insights about the University, scholarship recipients and life in West Timor.
