Join Austroads for a forum on driver distraction prevention strategyAs we mark National Road Safety Week (11–18 May), it's a timely reminder of the vital work Austroads does every day to reduce road trauma across Australia and New Zealand. This time, we are drawing attention to driver distraction, which contributes to up to 1 in 3 road crash injuries but is often overlooked in crash investigations. Austroads is leading the implementation of the National Roadmap on Driver Distraction, transforming national commitment into coordinated, evidence-based action. In 2025, Austroads is working on:
If you're interested in contributing to this work, join us for a forum in Brisbane on 16 July 2025. Transition of NEVDIS Team's individual email addresses to Austroads domainAustroads’ business unit, NEVDIS, transitioned its team’s individual email addresses to the @austroads.gov.au domain, on Tuesday 6 May 2025. Team members who currently use email addresses with the @nevdis.com.au domain were transitioned to the new @austroads.gov.au domain. The existing email addresses remain functional, and any messages sent to them are automatically redirected to the new addresses. It is important to note that the email addresses nevdis@nevdis.com.au and nevdis_support@nevdis.com.au remain unchanged. This transition does not affect the services or communications that stakeholders receive from the NEVDIS team. There are no disruption to existing support or operations, and no action is required by stakeholders. NEVDIS is a business unit of Austroads, a not-for-profit, non-partisan organisation providing services for and on behalf of all levels of government. The change to the @austroads.gov.au domain reflects the integration of NEVDIS into Austroads’ systems, enabling more streamlined and efficient service delivery.
